The Oystercatcher: News and Events from the Mayne Island Conservancy

October News

Hello friends,

This year the Conservancy is proud to say we have more members than ever before! As of the writing of this article we have 381 current members, with more joining each week. Signing up for a membership has never been easier thanks to our new website. If you would like to support the work of the Mayne Island Conservancy, please join us as an individual member ($5), a duo ($10), or as a family membership ($15). Check out our website, visit us at our office (478 Village Bay Rd), or stop by our table at the market. Thanks for your support!

If you hold current membership, we encourage you to take advantage of one of the benefits of being a member, which is to place an advance order for our Fall Native Plant Sale. The sale will be on Saturday October 5th from 10am to 1pm at the Farmers Market, and advance orders can be picked up the day of the sale. For pricing and availability, check out the events page on our website. Fall is the best time to plant trees and shrubs so they can establish roots before the summer drought.
