Welcome to the long days as we approach the summer solstice.

Every once in a while, we’ll speak in this newsletter of some aspect of the nuts and bolts of our operations. This month, we talk about monthly giving. If this suddenly makes you want to have a nap, have a read of the very eloquent article by one young supporter about why he was inspired to sign up to make monthly donations and the satisfaction this gives him.

I won’t go into the reasons why stable, predictable income over the course of the year is so important to keeping our office running and enabling us to funnel nearly all of the grant funds we apply for, directly into the programs that benefit the terrestrial and marine ecosystems here on Mayne Island.
|
And as usual, we have some nice articles on Mayne Island's fascinating bird life, and a followup on the success of our Paddle Along fundraiser.

Paddle Along: A Success!
