Winter Birding in the Field will give participants a hands-on opportunity to hone their birding skills in advance of the Christmas Bird Count.

The outings will take place in an area that is known to be habitat for many of the species that call SḴŦAḴ | Mayne Island home in the winter months. Michael Dunn, local naturalist and the publisher of the Birds of Mayne Island, A Checklist, will lead these field trips.

Dress appropriately for the weather and bring along your binoculars and a notepad.
