Invasive Plant Management Workshop
June 6 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Free

Concerned about invasive species on your property? This is a hands-on workshop on how to identify species of concern and the most effective methods for management.
Did you know? SḴŦAḴ | Mayne Island is within the coastal Douglas fir ecosystem, which is among the smallest and most at risk ecosystems in BC. Introduced species pose a threat to biodiversity and habitat.
Two hundred and thirty-five introduced plant species have been documented growing wild on SḴŦAḴ | Mayne Island. Because about 85% of the island is privately owned, we are calling on the community to help steward this special place!
This workshop will profile 20 introduced plant species and provide info on effective methods for managing them.
