Maynely Mushrooms is back for 2023!
Join us on Sunday, November 5th for a variety of mushroom inspired activities!
BEGINNING WITH A MUSHROOM WALK, from 11:00-12:30pm. Join local mushroomer Sierra Steele for a walk through the woods, exploring the wonderful world of mushrooms. Have fun identifying and observing mushrooms in their natural habitat! The walk is limited to twelve people. TICKETS AVAILABLE BELOW. Location and details will be provided to those who sign up.
MUSHROOM MUSTER is taking place at the Ag Hall between the hours of 1pm & 4pm for all things mushroom!
There will be a display of mushrooms that are common to our area, come look at them up close (bring your magnifiers) and see their distinguishing features, hold them to your nose and smell their essence (often an indicator of species). Compare them to the description in your guidebooks (bring your own if you have one).
Mushrooms make for interesting art, in many forms from paintings and sketches to ceramics in many forms. There will be various forms of mushroom art on display as examples, and possibly some treasures available for sale.
A MUSHROOM HAT MAKING WORKSHOP will take place – we promised it would be back after a successful spring session. During the process of creating your mushroom hat you will learn about the anatomy of the mushroom and what makes it unique. Workshop limited to 10 people/hats and will run from 2:30pm – 4:00pm. ***HAT-MAKING WORKSHOP IS POSTPONED UNTIL A FURTHER DATE***
