This is a hands-on workshop for anyone interested in learning how to grow native plants. Participants will get to start some native plants to grow in their own gardens!

During this workshop, we’ll discuss which propagation techniques are best for each of about 30 different native plants. We’ll practice starting hardwood cuttings, demonstrate other techniques such as layering and division, and discuss seed collection methods. All the techniques we’ll cover are available for home growers without the need for any fancy equipment.

Space will be limited to 10 people so please register below. The workshop will be led by Rob Underhill, who has been practicing native plant propagation on Mayne Island for the past decade.
