Ocean’s Day Intertidal Exploration!

Our Intertidal exploration is back!
Have you ever seen a Gunnel up close? Observed a nudibranch as it explored its surroundings? Gone face-to-face with a Dungeness crab?
Join us Saturday, June 13th at ÁLE¸LEṈ | Miners Bay beach to celebrate World Oceans Day and experience the wonderful diversity of creatures living in the intertidal zone. With a setup of aquariums hosting specimens collected from the intertidal zone, nature educators Kelly Nordin and Dave Hutchinson will lead us in an exploration of marine life.
We’ll be putting out a seine net and displaying marine flora and fauna in a number of large aquarium tanks, with a chance for participants to observe, ask questions, and do their own intertidal exploration along the shoreline with a number of Conservancy materials and equipment.
