Support the Conservancy with a Lifetime or Annual Membership
Each new year presents a new chapter in the life of the Conservancy, and this includes an annual drive to encourage membership renewals and first-time members.
Annual Memberships run from January 1st to December 31st for a charge of $10 per person*, however, since the beginning of last year we have also offered Lifetime Memberships. As of this month, 116 people have joined this cherished group! With a one-time payment of $100, Lifetime Members never have to worry about renewing their membership again. This also means Conservancy staff and volunteers can put more time otherwise spent in attracting and managing membership into planning and carrying out our conservation work.
A strong membership base helps us attract both grants and donations, which together represent the bulk of our revenue. At the same time, an engaged membership provides an enthusiastic audience for events, restoration work, and conservation initiatives.
All Conservancy Members receive the monthly Oystercatcher newsletter, the Annual Report published in the fall, and priority at our native plant sales. And please keep in mind that membership includes an invitation to our Annual General Meeting, which will be on Sunday April 27th at the Ag Hall, followed by a barbeque to celebrate the Annual Beach Cleanup.
Conservancy Members provide the organization with an important vote of confidence in the future of our conservation and land protection work, and we deeply appreciate this support for our vision of protecting 30% of SḴŦAḴ | Mayne Island by 2033.
*Annual Memberships are free to individuals under the age of 16.
