Volunteer Appreciation Celebration

Sunday, September 22, from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm, at the Mayne Island Community Centre
Did you know that the Conservancy has over one hundred volunteers? They contribute so much to our work by helping with habitat restoration, kelp monitoring, citizen science, planning and running events, and participating on the Board of Directors and its various committees. Over the 20+ years that the Conservancy has existed, volunteers have spent thousands of hours helping us conserve the ecology of Mayne Island and its surrounding waters for future generations. They are the backbone of the Conservancy!

In appreciation of all the time these volunteers have given, the Conservancy is holding a celebration dinner on Sunday, September 22, from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm. We encourage our volunteers to come and enjoy a fun time at the Community Centre.
Are you a volunteer? If you’re interested in attending, with your family of course, please send us an email before September 8 to let us know that you will be joining the celebration and if you have any food restriction/allergies along with your dinner preference of chicken or veggie – rsvp@mayneconservancy.ca
Interested in becoming a volunteer? We have lots of opportunities either in the field, on the water, at your computer, at events, and beyond. Let’s chat and find the right fit for you within our volunteer opportunities. You decide how much time you have to give. You get to work with great staff, dedicated volunteers, and you see the impact of your work! Contact us at info@mayneconservancy.ca
