Do you like being outside? Do you like working alongside others to help local plants and animals to thrive? Then this is the volunteer opportunity for you!

Join our team of Habitat Restoration volunteers. We get together about once per week for 2-3 hours from September to June. There is no commitment to make every event, we know you have a busy life too!

Activities include planting trees and shrubs, collecting native plant seeds, removing invasive plants like Scotch broom and daphne, and installing or maintaining fencing to protect newly planted trees and shrubs from deer.

In the spring of 2020 we have a couple of exciting projects we need help with, including maintaining native plantings and managing invasive plant species in public parks such as Henderson Hill, St. John Point, and Bennett Bay.

Sign up for this volunteer opportunity and we’ll add you to our email list for notification of Habitat Restoration Events. This is a great way to get some excercise outdoors, explore amazing new places on the island, meet new people, and help local plants and animals to thrive!
