Volunteers are essential for the success of habitat restoration projects.

Volunteer appreciation event: Sunday, September 11, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Dinner Bay Park.

Did you know that the Conservancy has over one hundred volunteers? They do everything from invasive plant removal, to planning and running events, to participating on the Board of Directors. Over the 20 years that the Conservancy has existed, these volunteers have spent thousands of hours helping us conserve the ecology of Mayne Island and its surrounding waters for future generations.

In appreciation of all the time these volunteers have contributed, the Conservancy is holding an
appreciation event on Sunday, September 11, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. We encourage our
volunteers to come down and enjoy a fun time at Dinner Bay Park, with food and beverages
available. If you’re interested, just let us know you’d like to attend, with your families of course!
